This policy explains the data handling built into AstherShop’s information website and optional inquiry form.
Scope and operator
AstherShop publishes software comparisons and pre-purchase guidance. The legal operator and contact details appear below. This policy covers our website; manufacturers and other external sites have their own privacy practices.
Information you provide
If the contact form is enabled, it asks for your name, email address, inquiry category, and message. We use this information to receive, evaluate, and respond to the inquiry. Do not send passwords, account credentials, payment details, license keys, or sensitive personal information.
Technical information
The contact page uses an essential, session-duration cookie to verify form requests and prevent duplicate success notices. A session record is stored on the server. The form’s abuse protection stores a hashed representation of the connecting IP address, a time window, and an attempt count in the server’s temporary storage. It does not place the raw IP address in that rate-limit record.
The hosting provider may keep access and error logs containing IP addresses, requested pages, time stamps, and browser information. Site search terms appear in the URL and may therefore appear in hosting logs. Avoid entering personal or confidential information into search.
Cookies and analytics
This website includes no analytics, advertising pixels, marketing cookies, third-party fonts, embedded third-party videos, or social tracking scripts. Ordinary guide pages do not set an application cookie. See our Cookie Policy for the contact-session cookie. Any future non-essential tracking requires this policy and the relevant consent controls to be updated first.
Purpose and sharing
Inquiry information is sent to the configured business mailbox through the host’s mail service. The hosting and email providers process information needed to operate these services. We do not include code that sells inquiry data or sends it to advertising networks. Information may also need to be disclosed where a valid legal obligation requires it. Visiting an external manufacturer link takes you to a separately operated service.
Retention and security
The application does not save inquiry bodies in a website database. Messages may be retained in the business mailbox and mail-service records for the period necessary to respond, keep appropriate business records, and meet applicable obligations. The operator must establish retention periods appropriate to its actual hosting, email, and business arrangements.
Contact-session records are subject to the host’s PHP session cleanup settings. Expired abuse-limit files are eligible for bounded cleanup after 24 hours as further inquiries are processed; inactive hosts may retain them until temporary-storage cleanup occurs. Access to mailboxes and server logs should be limited to authorized people. No Internet transmission or storage method can be represented as risk-free.
Your choices and requests
You can choose not to submit an inquiry. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to particular processing. Send a request through our published contact channels. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. The applicable rights, legal grounds, transfers, and response requirements depend on the operator’s location and actual processing arrangements.
Children and changes
This service is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed. We will update this page when the website’s data practices change. The date above identifies the latest editorial update.
