Home is a useful starting point for a personally managed PC. Pro is worth evaluating when a workplace, a particular workflow, or your own management requirements call for additional capabilities. Paying for the more expensive edition does not, by itself, establish that your computer will be faster.

Who each edition is for
Consider Home for a personal computer used for documents, streaming, study, and games when there is no requirement for a Pro-only capability. Consider Pro when you can name a specific requirement such as managed workplace enrollment, hosting a Remote Desktop connection, or using the included Hyper-V platform. A freelancer does not automatically need Pro simply because the PC is used for paid work.
Important feature differences
Home can offer device encryption on eligible devices; it should not be described as having no encryption. Pro adds the fuller BitLocker controls. If encryption is a purchasing requirement, ask which drives, management controls, and organizational policies are involved.
Remote Desktop hosting and connecting as a client are different roles. Home can connect to a suitable host; the built-in ability to host an incoming connection requires an eligible edition such as Pro. This is a Windows product feature, not a remote-access service from AstherShop.
Compatibility considerations
Read the requirements for the exact computer and applications under consideration. Hyper-V has hardware prerequisites beyond the edition name. Work organizations may specify enrollment, licensing, or security requirements that a consumer comparison cannot settle. Write down your must-have capabilities and cross out anything you will not use. If none requires Pro, compare the cost of Home-based devices alongside their memory, storage, screen, and warranty. If a requirement does call for Pro, include the edition in your purchasing specification so it is clear what the seller is supplying.
Check whether the offer is a full license or an upgrade, the permitted device count, region restrictions, transfer rights, and the seller’s refund terms. A low advertised price is not enough to establish that a license fits your situation. Keep a record of the edition and licensing terms shown at purchase.
